About this mod
Configurable Artillery allows you to control several settings of the artillery. In addition to that, it features an optimised script for faster shooting artillery. The rate of fire, spread, range and more can be easily adjusted with MCM.

About a year ago, I experienced issues with my graphics card and since then it got worse. It was out of warranty when the issues started and I couldn’t RMA it. I planned on replacing it, but due to COVID-19 this went out of reach for me, as I had to use the money I already had saved up.

Yes. Its much better than Angry Artillery. (I used Angry Artillery too)
Angry Artillery cripples the script and turns off the artillery rotation, which always bothered me, because of immersion. The edits also causes some cannons to fire but no projectile will land.
I also tested it with a mod that puts weapmods on the flare gun so it can shoot artillery flares at a longer range, and it still calls down the modded thunder.
Madcat221, which mod is that? I’m desperately looking for a mod that increases the range of the artillery signal flares. There was one up on the Nexus once, but looks like the mod author pulled it down.

I’m using the 155m howitzer, I’ve also created a patch for it. I didn’t find any issues so far. Maybe there are some issues, but I haven’t seen any.
What I often see on my mods, that people report nearly everything as a bug, no matter if it has something to do with this mod. Like you do a mod to change the name of Stimpacks and one user reports, Dogmeat is now using a minigun to kill enemies. I have also seen weapon mods with many many many bug reports and when I used the mod myself, there were 1-2 valid bug reports for that weapon like weapon sway is missing in first person or something like that.
Grenades are glitchy mate.
How about vintage Pre-war Binos?
Only limitation is that they work on distance of about 100 meters, and not more.

Any idea why after some distance big guns don’t give a Fuc* about settings, and fire in vanilla way?
HI I have a problem and I dont know how to fix it. well the mod works just great with vanilla artillery but with howitzer the bug happens. if I throw the grenade in settlement it fires correctly but if throw it anywhere outside the settlement radio confirms the target and it doesnt shoot anything and it says good luck meaning the fire operation ended. I have the howitzer patch installed and still it doesnt work any help?
Edit: I think I fixed it. it wasnt caused because of this mod. I dont know why but people at the castle who were assigned to artilleries abandoned their job and they keep doing it! I had to build more in other settlements and it works. I think its caused because of ss2 messing with settelers AI or maybe they want a higher salary!
I’ve been having the same problem with SS2. While the option for «auto-assign» is active, it will constantly pull people from certain assignments and reassign them to other plots. That means defensive items such as artillery will often be abandoned so the assigned settler can go farm carrots or something.
The only viable solution that I have found so far is to have a couple settlements that are 100% free of any SS2 plots, and allow that settlement to run as vanilla. In doing so, those settlements haven’t had many issues with defense settlers leaving their posts. By maxing out the arty distance, this means you should always have a gun available for fire missions.
Yes you are right. If i want it to work i need to build some settlements including artilleries without ss2 thats exactly what I was thinking. I dont know why ss2 just steals settlers from their jobs I hope they fix it somehow.

Hey Z, are you still playing FO4? Was wondering what you’d think of adding an option to have the explosions ignore LOS? I have a mod that does this for the Mini-Nuke already, and someone showed me how to add it to the Artillery explosion for personal use, but it seems like a logical option for this mod. Cheers!
Edit: apparently vanilla artillery does 200 damage per shell. Maybe config the damage as well, yeesh
Yes I’m still «playing» it and still haven’t finished the main quest yet, because there are always new ideas for mods 🙂
Better Explosives and the Redux edition tweaks Artillery damage, but they don’t add the ignore LOS flag. I’m not a huge fan of this flag. Killing someone through walls does not feel right to me.
Agree in principle, but when the «wall» is a quarter-inch thick piece of rotted plywood. doesn’t seem like it should stop the blast from a 50-pound mortar shell. The result is that any raider in their crappy shack full of holes you can shoot through is completely immune to artillery.
Of course, what should really happen is the silly crapshack should just be blasted apart, but that’s probably impossible.
So I was hoping to get this instead of Angry Artillery, a replacement for it if you will, as I really do not like the narrow bombing area of the AA mod, but I can’t get it to work. I have the mods all set up in the order of
EDIT: Something odd that happens with MO2 is it can’t always read from the mod files properly, so manual extraction/installation of the BA2 files to it’s overwrite file fixes the issue. Not sure if that’s just something mods need a patch for or what, but either way.
For those with the Howitzer mod, make sure to install this mod’s folders to the overwrite first, and then overwrite the ArtilleryReferenceScript.pex file with the patch’s.

Wanted to do the same sort of tweaks to AA.
I don’t see a setting in MCM so I’m assuming only Settlers can use the Artillery still?
Nuka-World Raiders can be assigned to it but won’t fire it if you use the Artillery Smoke Signal.

The Artillery Base code name : LONE WOLF
Im sure you are going to be surprised by the location i chose and the way i decided to create this base.
This is a small hollow island that serves as a high point for artillery bombardment and even a staging area for covert operations due to its location and isolation.
Ive also installed a NPC spawner to help you man this base easier.(behind the memorial)
Careful when you get there cause it may have some «surprises» 😛

The howitzer was first produced under the designation 155mm Howitzer M1, in the 60’s it was changed to M114 155mm Howitzer. The gun in this model is on the M1A1 carriage. You can get more information from the technical manual.
Note, the following video is a bit out-of-date in the sense it was made before the animation started working. That’s the only difference, everything else is the same.
The meshes and textures of the howitzer, shells, and pallet are all made from scratch in Blender and Substance Painter 2.
