DanganRonpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls includes 35 achievements. This guide describes how to get each of them, shows the locations of all collectibles and how to complete the Arcade Rooms, so that you get an A rating in every chapter.
You`ll probably need two playthroughs for this though (to collect all coins).
I will only include the missable achievements in this guide. The achievements that are not described in this guide are all story-related and therefore cannot be missed. If you pursue the achievements described at the top, you`re sure to gain every achievement in this game. Keep that in mind!
Raised Komaru to Max Level
This achievement is rewarded for leveling Komaru up to Level 99. This achievement was the last for me to obtain. You`ll probably need two playthroughs for this. I got this at the end of the second playthrough. There`s also a skill that gives you a quicker EXP boost. Try to equip it as early as possible (it`s at the beginning of Chapter 4). If you still need EXP, i reccommend the beginning of Episode 4
Monokuma Genocider
One playthough isn`t enough for this one. You`ll automatically get this after killing 1000 Monokumas. I got this in the middle of my second playthrough
Your license to kill is revoked
You get this after handing over all hit lists to Mrs. Hagakure. The last time that you are able to hand things over is at the beginning of chapter 5. After finishing the game and collecting everything, return to this point by using Chapter Select
Just don`t run with them
You`ll have to max out Genocide Jack`s scissors at the weapon shop. That should be no problem, you`ll have more then enough. You`ll get this for sure on the second playthrough. Just kill the Monokumas perfectly by shooting them in their eye. Gold coins give more Monocoins
Blinged up
Buying all Bling Bullets from the shop is a more difficult task though. You`ll need a lot of Monocoins. You get this for sure on your second playthrough though. Just kill the Monokumas perfectly by shooting them in their eye. Gold coins give more Monocoins. For one Bling Bullet you`ll also need 10.000 Monocoins, that means the Monocoins Achievements are automatically gained when pursuing this achievement
Ultra-Know-It-All Girls
This achievement requires collecting all scrap notes (described in the guide below)
Hide-and-Seek Champion
This achievement requires collecting all Hidden Kids (described in the guide below)
Skill Queen
This achievement requires finding all skill books. You get skill books for completing chapters with an A grade, that means, you`ll also need to get all A grades for this achievement. An A grade depends on the Arcade Rooms that you solved correctly (the solutions are listed below), the Hidden Kids you found (also listed below) and the retries. So. better try not to die. Also, i found that Chapter 4 was the most difficult one to get an A grade on. Keep that in mind.
📘Literature 2/6: The Right Not to Kill: After defeating some Monokumas, there`s a collectible directly to the left next to a big gap. This is right before you enter through the next door (Streets)

💚Skill: Gatherer: You`ll get another skill if you complete this chapter with an A rank
Objective: Escape without getting caught
Allowed Truth bullets: Move
[1] This is the correct path. Don`t run though and keep yourself at a distance from the Monokumas. You don`t want to get spotted, otherwise you`ll lose this Arcade Room (/)
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Break, Move
[1] This is quite an easy room. Wait for the Bomber Monokuma to position at the location you see in the screenshot below. There, kill him with a Break Bullet. His grenades should explode and kill all other Monokumas around him (BREAK)

Allowed Truth bullets: Dance, Move

Check out the portraits with the Detect Mode. The left one has marks on the beard, the second one has marks on the eyebrows, the third one has glasses and the last one got marks on the hair. The marks on the safe have a clear order: Hair, Eyebrows, beard, glasses thus making the code «2413»
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Break, Move, Dance
[1] First off, you have to move the car with Move. But be careful that you don`t kill the Siren Monokuma with the car (MOVE)
[2] Afterwards, shoot the Siren Monokuma with a Dance Bullet (DANCE)
[3] After everyone has convened around the Siren Monokuma, kill the Bomber Monokuma with a Break Bullet (BREAK)
🏴 Hidden Kid 1/5: Masaru Daimon: After reaching the train, head to the right instead of left. A sparkle is hidden behind the pillar there (Train Station)
🔖Note 1/20: I`m only 16. I don`t want to die: From the previous collectible walk a bit to the left. The collectible is next to the first corpse that comes into your view (Train Station)

🔖Note 2/20: Children`s Paradise Commandmends 2: After reaching the underground shopping district, continue to walk down the first hallway to the end (Shopping District)
📘Literature 1/4: Mastering Disappointment: Soon after you will have to defeat some Shield Monokumas. Take a turn to the left, to where they came from, and enter the room there. This book is located in a bookshelf in that room (Shopping District)
🔴Hit List 2/4: Yutax: After you meet a new character, let him open the next door for you, but don`t enter it yet. Backtrack in the shopping district to the hallway far to the right with two sealed doors. Let the new character open the left door for you. The hitlist is in there (Shopping District)
💚Skill 1/5: Raise: This skill is close to the previous collectible. Let the new character also open the right door in this hallway in the shopping district. This skill is behind some doors there (Shopping District)
🏴Hidden Kid 2/5: Jataro Kemuri: Now enter the room that was the first you opened with the new character. Right before the entrance to the next Arcade Room is a closed gate to the left. Behind this gate is another sparkle you need (Shopping District)
🔖Note 3/20: I want to choose suicide: After completing the next arcade room, you will see a room directly to the left. Enter it and grab this collectible (Shopping District)

🔖Note 12/20: Memoirs of Jataro Kemuri: After finishing yet another Arcade Room, you will walk down some stairs. Look to the shop-windows to the left. The shop-window at the far end contains this collectible (Riverpath)
💚Skill: Star Body: A-Rank on this chapter
🔫Arcade Room 1/6: Shopping District
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Move, Knockback
[1] This one is really easy. Sneak behind the Bomber Monokuma and shoot him with the Knockback Bullet directly between the other Monokumas. His explosion should trigger and defeat all enemies (KNOCKBACK)
🔫Arcade Room 2/6: Shopping District
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Move, Knockback
[1] This one is similar to the one before, but a bit more difficult due to timing difficulties. Again sneak right behind the Bomber Monokuma. Shoot him with the Knockback Bullet to the Shield Monokumas when they are currently facing off the hallway (KNOCKBACK)
Objective: Make them all fall down at once
Allowed Truth bullets: Move, Dance, Knockback
[1] When the Siren Monokuma is at the far left point near the edge of the walkway, shoot him with a Dance Bullet. The Junk Monokuma should follow him now (DANCE)
[2] Make use of the Knockback Bullet and knock both down the pit (KNOCKBACK)
Objective: Choose the correct venthole
The solution for this puzzle is 1. The gunman only has to shoot once to have all birds fly away. The correct pipe is therefore the second from the right
🔫Arcade Room 4/6: Riverpath
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Break, Move
[1] Your first step is activating the Child Device with a Move Bullet (MOVE)
[2] Wait for the Bomber Monokuma to arrive near the Child Device and shoot with him a Break Bullet. His explosion should trigger and kill everyone else around him (BREAK)
🔫Arcade Room 5/6: Riverpath
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Move, Knockback
[1] Again, activate the Child Device with a Move Bullet (MOVE)
[2] After the Bomber Monokuma reaches the Child Device, use a Knockback Bullet to knock him over the gap in the floor behind the Guard Monokumas. The Bomber Monokuma should detonate there and kill all of them (KNOCKBACK)
Objective: Destroy them all at once
Allowed Truth bullets: Move, Knockback
[1] Sneak behind the Ball Monokuma and push him towards the other Monokumas with a Knockback Bullet. That should do the trick. Just don`t get spotted while you are trying to get behind him (KNOCKBACK)
Objective: Choose the key
You`ll need to find a place where you can look through 3 different lifesavers. This place is directly left of the entrance door. Look through the lifesavers all the way to the back wall. The correct key is therefore the second from the left there
🏴Hidden Kid 3/5: Kotoko Utsugi: After reaching the next savepoint, this sparkle is on a floor tile on the river (Riverpath)
🔖Note 4/11: My beloved son: After entering the 4th Arcade Room of this chapter, this will be located next to a corpse in that same Arcade Room Preparation Room (Riverpath)
🏴Hidden Kid 4/5: Nagisa Shingetsu: After finishing the 4th Arcade Room of this chapter, a kid will come into view, still in the same building. He will give you a new Bullet Type. The sparkle is hidden between the Warriors of Hope figures to the right in that same room (Riverpath)
📘Literature 2/3: 15 ways to make that rich: Still in the same room, left of the kid (Riverpath)
📙Socki the Sock 2/2: Socki 6: After finally leaving that building, head all the way to the left (Riverpath)
💚Skill 3/4: Excavator: After completing the next Arcade Room, walk over the bridge to the left until you reach a dead end. The collectible lies there (Riverpath)
🔖Note 8/11: List of Charity Work performed by Towa Group: In the secret base below the truck in the middle (Secret Base)

💚Skill: Reraise: A grade on this chapter
Objective: Find the 4-digit password
Enter the previous room and turn off the lights at the fuse box. Then, return to the second room and examine both lockers to rearrange them. Again, go back into the room with the fuse box and examine the left wall. The lights from left to right show the numbers for the solution: «2197»
Objective: Find the kid without getting caught
Allowed Truth bullets: Move
[1] The kid hides inside the box shown in the screenshot below. You`ll just have to evade the Monokumas to get that far. Be aware of your surroundings and move step by step (/)
🔫Arcade Room 2/5: Riverpath
Objective: Destroy them all with one explosion
Allowed Truth bullets: Break, Move
[1] Activate the Child Device behind the Guard Monokumas with a Move Bullet (MOVE)
[2] After the Bomb Monokuma reaches that device, kill him with a Break Bullet. His explosion should kill everyone there (BREAK)
🔫Arcade Room 3/5: Riverpath
Objective: Destroy them all at once
Allowed Truth bullets: Move, Dance
[1] Firstly, activate the Child Device with a Move Bullet (MOVE)
[2] Secondly, after the Siren Monokuma reaches the Child Device, hit him with a Dance Bullet (DANCE)
[3] After everyone else reaches that Child Device, start the vehicle at the bottom with a Move bullet. That should do the trick. Be careful to activate the car when everyone else can be hit by it. That means, timing is important (MOVE)

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
Before we start.
Because this guide is a 100% Completion Walkthrough, do read at your own risk. We will be talking about some story achievements as well as boss achievements.
I have tried making this guide as in-depth and as detailed as possible.
These achievements are achievements you cannot miss.
They will pop up every time you complete a certian event, when you finish a chapter or when you found your first collectable.
Lets get these achievements out of the way first.
Rented Rooms, Nightmare Hotels
Finished the Prologue.
Human Beings Can Be Awful Cruel
Finished Chapter 1.
The Mask Was A Thing On Its Own
Finished Chapter 2.
You Merely Broke My Life
Finished Chapter 3.
They Call Us Children And They Treat Us Like Mice
Finished Chapter 4.
This Horror Will Grow Mild
Finished Chapter 5.
An End That Repudiated Optimism And Pessimism Alike
Finished all chapters.
Monokuma Fighter
Defeated your first Monokuma.
You’ll come across your first Monokuma in the Prologue. So you should be able to grab this immediately.
Ms. Monoku-Man
Played a MONOKU-MAN machine for the first time.
You’ll enter a challenge room in the first chapter. With a Monoku-Man Machine. Simply interact with it and you’ll receive this achievement.
Burning Your Bridges
Escaped the collapsing bridge.
Shirokuma Rescue Squad
Rescued Shirokuma.
Secret Base Defenders
Defended the secret base from attack.
Keeping The Ratings Down
Cleared the Motivation Machine event.
A Woman’s Battle
Komaru vs. Genocide Jack cleared.
Combat Veteran
Defeated every type of Monokuma.
Every time you meet a new type of Monokuma, you will be forced to kill it before advancing. Making this achievement unmissable.
Found You!
Found your first Hidden Kid.
This one is easy. The game gives you a Hidden Kid when you get the Detect Bullet. So you can snatch this achievement immediately. Making this unmissable.
Back To School
Found your first Reference Book.
You will stumble upon a reference book in Chapter 1. Which nets you this achievements. So many easy achievements!
Hit The Lists
Handed over your first Hit List to Hiroko.
Easy. You will be given a Hit List when you go down the elevator in Chapter 1. Just talk to Hiroko when you enter the secret base with Shirokuma. And give it to her. Plain and simple. You can miss this if you didn’t talk to Hiroko at all or decide to not give her the Hit Lists.
The Road to Literacy
Found your first book and saw your first bonus conversation.
You should be able to find this in any rooms you don’t need to visit. So just ignore your main objective and start exploring. However, you might miss this if you ignore all the sparkles you find in the game.
Ultra Know-It-All Girls
Found all Scrap Notes.
If you have been paying attention to the guide, you should be able to get this easily. If you’ve missed one, you will need to complete the entire game before you can backtrack to a chapter to grab it.
Socki the Sock
Found every page of the Socki the Sock book.
You will find every page of Socki the Sock easily if you have been following the guide. If not, like before, you will need to complete the game before you can backtrack to any chapter.
Hide-And-Seek Champion
Found all of the Hidden Kids.
Ooh. This one, even with a guide. Might be missable. Because the sparkles for the hidden kids are barely noticeable. Make sure you keep a close eye on the area where the guide tells you the sparkles are.
Your License To Kill Is Revoked
Handed over all Hit Lists to Hiroko.
Even if you’ve found every hit list in Towa City, you won’t be able to give it to Hiroko unless you’ve replayed the game. So just go to Chapter 5 and talk to her and give her your remaining Hit Lists.
Skill Queen
Found all Reference Books.
This one is the hardest because you also need to get an «A» on every chapter to get every extra reference book it gives you. So this ties in to the Best Partners Forever Achievement. Which is really bloody hard to be honest.
I call these achievements «Grinding Achievements» because they require you to do either something perfectly or something over and over again until you get a certian amount of coins.
These achievements no doubt will take you the most time because of stuff like RNG and retries.
I wish you the best of luck.
A Piggy Bank
Collected 100 Monocoins.
This one is easy, you should be able to grab this through natural progression.
A Vault
Collected 10,000 Monocoins.
This one will take a while. Just keep grinding until you reached 10k Monocoins. You can also tie this achievement in with Monokuma Genocider, Blinged Up and Just Don’t Run With Them.
Monokuma Hunter
Defeated 100 Monokumas.
You should get this through natural progression, if you have been shooting Monokumas instead of running away that is.
Monokuma Genocider
Defeated 1,000 Monokumas.
This requires you to do some grinding. Which means a lot of chapter replays. I recommend the second chapter as that has the most Monokumas in the Monokuma onslaught just before entering Towa Tower.
Just Don’t Run With Them
Maxed out Genocide Jack’s scissors.
If you focus all of your upgrades to Genocide Jack, you should be able to get this achievement pretty easily in your first playthrough.
Shinin’
Found half of the Bling Bullets in the game.
This achievement is not that hard. As half of the Bling Bullets in the game are quite relatively cheap. So you can just buy all of them when you find a shop.
Blinged Up
Found all of the Bling Bullets in the game.
This achievement requires you to buy some of the most expensive items in the game. So a lot of grinding will be required. You require over 16k+ Monocoins to be able to purchase every single Bling Bullets in the game. So. Good luck!
Redemption
Raised Komaru to level 20.
If you have been shooting Monokumas left and right, you should be able to get this in your first playthrough.
Never Stop Growing
Raised Komaru to max level.
This achievement requires you to max out Komaru’s level. Which means, you will need to do a second playthrough. Or just grind in a certain chapter.
Hopeful
Earned a B in every chapter.
If you’re able to nab every challenge and every Hidden Kids but die or retry here and there, you should be able to get this on your first playthrough.
Best Partners Forever
Earned an A in every chapter.
This achievement is by far the hardest achievement in the game. Only because it is the achievement that will require you to play this game perfectly. No challenge fails. Found every Hidden Kids. And no retries. What so ever. Thanks to user HyperAije for the clarification. You don’t need to do the chapters perfectly. All you need to do is get a score above 260 (possibly 250) in order to get an A. Make sure you save often, as loading a save doesn’t count towards a retry. Which deducts your point during the end of the chapter.
Be sure to use a guide to figure out exactly how to beat a challenge.
I hope this guide is useful to your journey in completing Ultra Despair Girls.
One of the better games in the series, in my opinion.
Be sure to give this guide a favorite as well as a like and share it with your friends if they’re struggling with an achievement.
It’s a shame the Steam version doesn’t have a full completion achievement like the PSVita version.
Oh well, maybe Spike will add it later.
Oh yeah, did you guys notice this man in the river? I sure did.
