The Service Rifle is back, and better than ever.
A staple of the NCR’s arsenal, the Service Rifle was an iconic sight in Fallout: New Vegas, and is now fully re-made for Fallout 4. Featuring both the Service Rifle and its sister weapon, the Assault Carbine, this mod aims to bring a lore-friendly and immaculately detailed re-imagining of the original weapons. Storm the Commonwealth with the signature weapon of the NCR, or swap out a few mods to convert to the Assault Carbine for maximum firepower.
With dozens of unique meshes and textures, a suite of unique sounds, and full custom animations, the Service Rifle blends seamlessly into Fallout 4’s lore and aesthetic.

MOD LIST:
— Four tiers of semi and fully-automatic receivers, a unique SMG variant, plus a set of flat-top receivers for mounting scopes directly
— Full-length and shortened variants for the Service Barrel, Carbine Barrel, Rifleman Barrel, and Breacher Barrel
— Five different stock sets to match the Service Rifle, Assault Carbine, and Advanced Service rifle variants
— Four different magazine variants, including quick-mags and a coupled magazine set
— Three scopes utilizing the Universal Mod system developed for Fallout Cascadia, plus two ironsight variations
— Four muzzle devices: a flash hider, muzzle brake, moderator, and suppressor
— Three accessory mods, including a laser sight and flashlight
VISUAL MOD PROGRESSION:
As you move up to better mods, there are distinct visual differences in their style. Low-quality mods will show their age and wear with rust and damage, while high-tier mods are cleaner and less beat-up. Additionally, each major tier of mod has a unique visual appearance, so you can tell at a glance if that raider’s hodge-podge rifle is worth picking up or not!
UNIVERSAL MODS:
Universal Mods are part of a system designed for Fallout Cascadia, where mods can be shared across weapons via universal adapters, or ‘picatinny rails.’ The Service Rifle has two slots available for universal mods: accessories, and scopes. To mount most of the scopes for the Service Rifle, you’ll first need to install the rail adapter, which provides the mounting interface for the scopes. Once it’s attached, you’ll see the scopes available for you to install. The flat-top receivers can mount universal scopes directly, without an adapter.
Accessories are much easier to use- they’ll show up in their own slot, and don’t require any setup if the barrel you’re using supports them. Some barrels however, such as the stubby Breacher Barrel, don’t have an attachment point, and can’t use accessories.
BALANCING:
The Service Rifle is balanced against the vanilla game. It has a starting damage of 30, and uses the 5.56 round by default. Automatic fire is scaled like the vanilla game, where damage in automatic receivers is reduced by 50% or so. Compared to vanilla weapons, it is a medium to high-tier weapon, with damage output similar to the Handmade Rifle from Nuka World. It has better accuracy and less recoil than most vanilla weapons in the same class. At the highest levels, it will be one of the best assault rifles in the game due to its high accuracy and virtually no recoil, but its pure DPS damage output will be beat by weapons like the Gauss Rifle or an automatic Plasma Rifle.
FAQ:
Q: It’s asking me to overwrite something about offset data.txt!!
A: That’s ok. It’s safe to overwrite. This info is used to set up custom animations for mods, and is included with lots of mods.
Q: Will this come to Xbox?
A: There are a few technical glitches to sort out to make it Xbox-ready, but once those are solved it will be ported to Xbox.
Q: Where do I get it?
A: From the corpses of your enemies! (It will spawn on Raiders, Gunners, and a few other places like stores). It begins spawning at level 25.
Q: What if I want it right now?
A: You can console-command it to yourself. Type «help service 0» to find the item code for it. It’ll be at the bottom under WEAP for «weapon.»
Q: My gun is invisible/purple! What’s wrong?
A: The game can’t find the mesh/textures. The mod probably had an installation issue. Check your settings and re-install.
Q: Boy these animations look familiar.
A: They should. They’re borrowed from the RU556, courtesy of Ha_ru!
Q: Will this conflict with other weapon mods that update leveled lists?
A: Nope! All the lists are updated via script the first time you load a save with the mod.
Q: Hey, weren’t there supposed to be all these custom unique variants.
A: Don’t know what you’re talking about. I feel like I’d remember something like that.

Unzip, copy + paste to Data folder. Or use NMM.

Replaces assault rifles and/or combat rifles with Deadpool2099’s Service Rifle.
Optional plugins are included that completely override Super Mutant leveled lists and gives them either melee weapons, miniguns, or missile launchers. Place the Super Mutant Leveled List Override esp very low in your load order to allow it to win any leveled list conflicts
2. Make sure the esp for that mod is activated and all the assets from it are in your Fallout 4 data folder
3. Install this mod. Select the replacers you want in the installer and click finish
1. Uninstall the replacer, download the update, then re-install the mod
2. Load your save game. Any replaced weapons in your inventory may be broken. Scrap or get rid of them if they are broken and seek out new ones by adding them via console or finding them in the game world
3. If an NPC/Companion weapon is broken, you can individually update them by entering the console, selecting the NPC, and entering the «Resurrect» console command. You will have to do this one-by-one for each NPC.
If the NPC/Companion isn’t equipping their replaced weapon after the resurrect command, open the console, select them, then enter the «openactorcontainer 1» console command. You can use this console command to view their inventory and force them to equip their replaced weapon and ammo.
Simply uninstall with your mod manager, but remember: the golden rule of modding is not to uninstall anything mid-game. This mod makes data changes that may be irreversible, so you may have to load a previous save that hasn’t seen this mod.

I’ll just say a few words about the features of this mod. The first is the flashlights, its change automatically when you take out a weapon installed flashlight will be turned on. When you remove the weapon, the flashlight turns off and Pip-Boy backlight will be works.
Now I’ll tell you a little about the shotgun. Well, the first thing you need to install M-3 on Sentinel is actually the M-3 itself. Yes, it will not work to make a shotgun out of improvised junk. Next, how the installed shotgun works. Changing weapons occurs by using a melee attack. More correctly, the change of weapons replaces this attack. Paired melee animations continue to work.
Another important thing about flashlights and underbarrel shotgun. For these components to work correctly, there should be only one Rangemaster or Rangemaster Sentinel rifle in the inventory.
