Hints
Stage 001 End Boss
Simply equip your Flame Thrower, and Lock your weapon on an Up-Right angle, and while standing on the ground so that your Flame is hitting under the boss’s chin. For the second part, repeat the trick, but angle your gun where your Flame is hitting the monster’s nose. You’ll hit everything that comes outta his nose, as well as hit his mouth when he opens it. The only thing you then have to do is worry about any worms dropped on the ground from the monster.

Successfully complete the game with a «B» rank to unlock the satellite weapon FMV sequence.

Product Information
As with Contra, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Contra: Hard Corps, and various other titles in the series, two players can team up against the alien hordes and giant bosses. In this game players can select from Bill Rizer, a vicious criminal, and Lucia, a female cyborg. Both characters are always equipped with three weapons that are selectable at any time: Heavy Machine Gun, Fire Whip, and Diver Mine. Each weapon can be charged for greater effect by pressing and holding the circle button.
There are five basic missions to accomplish, such as stopping a hijacked military transport train loaded with weapons, but the decidedly linear gameplay basically consists of running, jumping, climbing (hand over hand), shooting, and shooting some more. From time to time there are vehicles to ride, such as snowboards and missiles, but the action-heavy nature of the game remains intact. The overall objective is to thwart Blood Falcon and his minions as they attempt to exterminate from the face of the earth an already beleaguered human population.

Great Game.
First and foremost the game plays fantasticly. I rate this game as good cause it really challenges you. I brought it because I’m a die hard Contra fan. I like the game because you have to use strategy along with skills to be successful at it. The only thing I dislike is the fact that it’s really difficult( I beat it on easy). In saying all that I would defenitely buy this game again. Sicerely, Burney Brown
Old school Contra. Updated Hardcore challenge. Awesome nerve testing game.
I bought this game because i always wanted to play it. I have seen it played by my friends but was never allowed to play it (some friends huh, they wanted to beat it first). This game plays just like the original nes contra in that its one hit instant death, all your enemies move in a predictable set of attacks, and you have a huge array of weapons. This contra however, is touched up with what the ps2 can manage. It runs very smooth, there are no powerups everything is available from the start, and every stage plays a little different-from classic styles to hanging off the tops of sewers, to bouncing around on jet skies, and even flying around on missiles. The controls are perfect but completely complicated because of the many play modes. You have to be able to scroll to your desired weapo ns while evading your foes. Add in the abilities to strife (move in all directions but attack in one) or hold position (stand still but can shoot in all directions, sometimes spaces to stand are limited) and it can get a little confusing or frustrating because you get shot while trying to adjust and die. That being said, this is a very difficult game even though it is predictable. It truely tries to live up to the originals reputation, but not just the game-the beating of the game. I can remember people boasting about going through the original game without dying a single time. This contra however took that challenge literally as you can not die and must attain a 100% kill rate if you ever want to see the ending. Hardcore. I recommend this game but only to the most hardcore of players (no my friends never got close to the end). I like the game, even if I cant make it to the end. См. весь отзыв
Excellent, but not for everyone.
Contra: Shattered Soldier is hard. Incredibly hard. This might be the hardest Contra game ever, and that is saying something. It’s exactly what you expect from a Contra game. Side-scrolling, shooting action with the option of a second player. This is a good example of a game series undergoing a transfer to 3D successfully. It retains the same feel of the old games while still bringing something new and interesting to the table. But again, this game is HARD. Very, very hard. Yes, the classic Konami Code works, but I am moderately certain it only works on the main menu and therefore only once per playthrough of the game. This is usually enough to get through one level, but not all of them. Admittedly, since you can play the levels in any order, this isn’t a problem. But you’d have to rest art every time and your score would never be saved. It’s a fun adrenaline rush that I highly recommend to any serious gamer. This is Contra!
Oh yeah Contra Shattered Soldier is back and with a vengance! this is by far my favorite Contra. Why you ask? cause it brings the mix of old school and new and makes for a very fun game. for all those contra veterans out there im pretty sure they will be pleased with the great graphics and controls, as well as the intense challenge of beating it. than you got your rookies who will enjoy killing everything in sight. Only problem with this though is that if your playing by yourself even if your a veteran it is really really hard. and to top it off there is no saving. yeah you get that at the end of the game if you ever make it there. But i dont care and all those Contra fans wont either that just means you have to work harder to get there. Highly recommend this game if your a contra fan if n ot and dont like working hard go play your i love kitty island adventure games than. См. весь отзыв
